The alternative is in publishing order (the list is at the bottom), but that can be a bit confusing because the timelines do overlap a bit.

5 and 6 need to go before number 3.

Late to the party as per but am sure glad i’ve made it never been one for reading apart from on hols. Well what a surprise i’m totally hooked and can’t put them down 7 books in. wow what a mind this guy must have. Can’t stop need to read.
We started a new holiday tradition in my family of gifting books to open on Christmas Eve. I went on Amazon to look into some of interest and came across Feist and his Magician book. He was added to my list. I finished it within a week while on Holiday, and am currently working a little slower on the second one. They are fantastic. One I start it is hard to put down. I find the characters interesting and have no idea where the story will go, but I am enjoying the journey.
Just passed this of if curiosity: you should read the Krondor/The Riftwar Legacy books before Krondor’s Sons and Serpentwar.
It’s before them in the life time line. Whilst their contribution to big picture is arguable (I’d argue for), their contribution to the characters is not. It would be a shame to read them out of order of the main characters’s timelines.
I would like to know would R E F, ever consider writing the story of Marcos The Black ..His beginning I know a bit is explained in the Darkness at Sethanon BUT it would be a great addition to the magician saga (Riftwar saga) books

I’m now up to the Krondor books and finding it very interesting but also strange as it has gone so far back in time from where the story left off in Shardes of a broken Crown. I’m only a few chapters in but yeah just finding it a bit scu iff! Lol
